Welcome to my personal website. I am a Professor of Private Law and European Private Law at Radboud University in the Netherlands and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the European Review of Private Law (ERPL). My research and teaching focus on international and European private law, in particular contract and tort law, international contract law, comparative law, and the legal implications of artificial intelligence and digitalisation.

I regularly serve as a visiting professor at universities across Europe, Asia, and South America, am a Council Member of the European Law Institute (ELI), and act as an arbitrator at the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI). In addition, I frequently provide expert opinions for judicial and extrajudicial proceedings as well as private legal opinions, and I am the author of more than 170 publications.
